Young Fashion Designers
Saturdays, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM (Ages 8-11)
This class is continuation of Introduction To Fashion Design & Sewing.
In the first half of the semester, an in depth approach to research
and the process of artistic experimentation will be emphasized.
Students will draw their inspiration from art, nature, culture
and current events and create a journal of ideas, an inspiration
board and a 4 look clothing collection. The second half of the
session will focus on pattern making, machine and hand sewing as
students create a skirt of their own design. The class will conclude
with a fashion show and presentation to a panel of fashion industry

Fashion Sewing
Saturdays, 12:30 -2:30 PM (Ages 12-17)
For beginner and intermediate students, this class teaches sewing
machine and hand sewing. Students will be encouraged to work both
two dimensionally with patterns as well as have the opportunity
to drape their creations on a dress form. The class includes a
field trip to the garment center and will conclude with a fashion
show and presentation to a panel of fashion industry professionals.

Wearable Art: A Mixed Media Approach To Fashion Design
Saturdays, 3:00-5:00 PM (Ages 13-17)
For intermediate sewing students, this class meets at the intersection
of fashion and fine art. Combining traditional garment construction
with sculptural techniques, students will stretch their imaginations
to create multi-layered, highly textural unique artistic fashion
creations. Students will be encouraged to work both two dimensionally
with patterns as well as have the opportunity to drape their creations
on a dress form. The class will conclude with a fashion show and
presentation to a panel of fashion industry professionals. $325

Advanced Fashion Sewing
Sundays, 3:30-5:30 PM (Teen & Adult)
For intermediate and advanced sewers. Students will create a 3
piece outfit. This class teaches advanced pattern making and sewing
techniques. Students will be encouraged to work both two dimensionally
with patterns as well as have the opportunity to drape their creations
on a dress form. The class will conclude with a fashion show and
presentation to a panel of fashion industry professionals. $325
